What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a non-invasive, drug-free approach to health care that focuses on the body's musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors use their hands or specialized tools to manipulate the spine and other joints, aiming to alleviate pain and improve function.

What conditions can chiropractic help with?

Chiropractic care can help with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, and sports injuries.

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

Yes, chiropractic care is safe when performed by a licensed and trained chiropractor. Chiropractors use gentle techniques and consider each patient's unique health history before developing a treatment plan.

Is Spinal Decompression Therapy safe?
Spinal Decompression Therapy is a highly effective and gentle treatment method for spinal conditions. The state-of-the-art Spinal Decompression equipment and advanced technology have a proven track record of safety and efficacy, with no reported instances of injury. During treatment, patients may experience a mild sense of stretch in their backs, hips, necks, or shoulders, and many even find the experience relaxing enough to fall asleep. At our clinic, we take great care to ensure that our patients feel comfortable and relaxed throughout their Spinal Decompression Therapy sessions.

How does a Spinal Decompression Therapy session work?
During a Spinal Decompression Therapy session, the patient will remain fully clothed and lie down in a relaxed position on the specially designed table. The session will begin with the patient being securely fastened into a neck or lower back harness. The computerised program will then control the table, using slow movements to gently lengthen and release the spine at precise intervals. This process will create decompression which will gently realign the disc and reduce pressure on the surrounding nerves and soft tissue, providing a safe and comfortable treatment experience.

Does Spinal Decompression Therapy hurt?
Spinal Decompression Therapy is known for its high level of comfort and relaxation during treatment. Patients typically experience no pain and often find the treatment to be very soothing. While a small minority may experience temporary muscle soreness, this is typically a sign of muscles being stretched in a new way.

How long does it take before I feel better?
The amount of time it takes for patients to experience relief from Spinal Decompression Therapy can vary. While some patients may feel pain relief after just one or two sessions, others may require several sessions before experiencing improvement. Factors such as the severity of the patient's spinal or disc condition, the duration of the problem, the level of inflammation, and the patient's adherence to the treatment program's instructions can all affect the length of time it takes to see improvement. However, most patients who complete their tailored Spinal Decompression Therapy program report significant pain relief, a reduction in other symptoms, and improved overall spinal function.

How long is the Spinal Decompression Therapy Program?
Spinal Decompression Therapy generally requires 10-12 weeks for a disc to fully heal, although more severe and complex cases may require additional time. During this period, patients typically receive treatment 2-3 times per week, with each session lasting 15-20 minutes. Treatment involves Spinal Decompression on the Hill DT table, soft-tissue therapy, spinal mobilisation, and chiropractic adjustments. Upon completion of the program, a schedule of corrective exercises and posture rehabilitation is recommended to stabilise, stretch, and strengthen the spinal and core muscles.

How is Spinal Decompression Therapy different to traction?
Traction therapy involves the use of weights, ropes, and pulleys to generate a pull and hold action, but it is challenging to target specific discs and lacks a biofeedback sensor mechanism to regulate force levels and prevent muscle guarding. In contrast, Spinal Decompression Therapy employs the state-of-the-art Hill DT Spinal Decompression Table that is controlled by a sophisticated computer program. The computer system communicates with the table through advanced sensor technology that aims at the specific disc that requires decompression. The sensors continuously monitor the treatment force and muscle resistance of the patient. The Hill DT Spinal Decompression Table uses a pulse rate of more than 10,000 per millimetre to detect the patient's approaching threshold and reduce the pull.

How does Spinal Decompression Therapy compare to Spinal Surgery?
Unlike spinal surgery, Spinal Decompression Therapy typically does not require any downtime or missed work. While spinal surgery can entail several months of recovery, there is no such recovery time needed for Spinal Decompression Therapy. Patients can simply come in for their scheduled treatment and then resume their normal daily activities. Over the course of a few weeks of treatment, most patients experience gradual improvement. Unlike surgery, there are no risks associated with infection, scarring, nerve damage or failed back surgery syndrome.

How does the Hill DT Spinal Decompression table differ from other Decompression tables?

The Hill DT Spinal Decompression table is considered the industry standard for decompression tables worldwide due to its exceptional engineering quality, intuitive technology, and high level of patient comfort.

With its advanced sensor technology, the Hill DT table continuously measures and monitors the treatment force and patient-resistance throughout each treatment session. This allows the table to sense when a patient is nearing their threshold and to reduce the pull accordingly, resulting in low-force, smooth decompression. This is a significant improvement over cable-based systems, which often cause soreness and pain during therapy sessions.

The Hill DT table can be used for both cervical and lumbar decompression. The lumbar decompression tools make it quick and easy for doctors to position patients in under 30 seconds, with pelvic flexi-straps that can accommodate a variety of body types. The table also comes with a thoracic harness, pillow, and flexion stool for additional patient comfort. The pelvic-tilt system and eight different treatment protocols allow doctors to target specific discs with precision.

The cervical decompression tools are just as effective, with two key advantages. First, the cervical device is fully adjustable and cradles the patient's head while providing complete encapsulation of the occiput. Second, the cervical cushion of the table can be tilted to target the lower cervical discs and alleviate pressure on the posterior region.
